Airspeed Joins United Nations Women’s Empowerment Principles (WEPs)
Strengthening our commitment to gender equality in the workplace, marketplace, and community

Airspeed International Corporation is proud to announce that we are now an official signatory of the United Nations Women’s Empowerment Principles (WEPs), a global initiative by UN Women and the UN Global Compact that guides businesses in advancing gender equality and women’s empowerment in the workplace, marketplace, and community.
As a WEPs signatory since 14 August 2025, Airspeed joins a growing community of companies worldwide that are taking concrete action to create more inclusive, equitable, and empowering environments for women.
Rooted in seven key principles, the WEPs framework calls on companies to:
- Champion gender equality at the highest levels of leadership
- Treat all women and men fairly at work and uphold human rights and non-discrimination
- Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all workers
- Promote education, training, and professional development for women
- Embed gender-responsive practices across the value chain
- Advocate for equality in communities
- Measure and publicly report on progress
For Airspeed, this commitment builds on our long-standing belief that when women are empowered with the right tools, opportunities, and support systems, businesses and communities thrive. Under the leadership of our Chairperson, Rosemarie Rafael, Airspeed continues to foster a culture where women can make sound decisions, represent themselves with confidence, and take on leadership roles that inspire others.
As a Filipino-owned Logistics company, we recognize our responsibility to help shape a more inclusive industry and contribute to the achievement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 5: Achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls.
Becoming a WEPs signatory is both a milestone and a starting point. In the months ahead, Airspeed will further strengthen policies, programs, and initiatives that:
- Support women’s representation and leadership at all levels
- Promote equal opportunities in hiring, development, and promotion
- Ensure a safe, respectful, and inclusive work environment
- Engage partners and stakeholders in advancing gender equality
