Solutions Design Manager

Job Description

  • Provide engineered design support for contract logistics solutions, including data gathering and analysis, process design, lay-out design, costing of the solution, and sensitivity analysis while applying Airspeed’s commercial guidelines.
  • Analyzing bid documents/requirements thru conducting resource, storage and pricing analysis to provide best solutions to potential clients.
  • Create presentation material for clients of the proposed solution design.
  • Intercommunication with Business Development/Bid Owner and On-site presentation.
  • Negotiate with clients to improve supply chain efficiency or sustainability.
  • Analyze the financial impact of proposed logistics changes, such as routing, shipping modes, product volumes or mixes. Recommend optimal transportation modes, routing, equipment, or frequency.
  • Present solutions or recommendations based on productivity and time studies and various analyses for logistics process improvements.
  • Monitor and benchmark Logistics Key Performance Indicator systems.
  • Analyze market trend in terms of innovation and evaluate feasibility to implement solutions.
  • Coordinate and execute projects, i.e., research and analyses customer activities, identifies trends / significant findings, reports and provides detailed written and oral presentations to management and clients on findings of individual projects.
  • Support implementation of client solutions including recruitment of staff (communicating the skills’ requirement), managing the contract facility, making recommendations, and implementing process improvements.
  • Develop a strong understanding of financial models, contract budget models and contract budget development.
  • Accompany handover of successful proposals to business unit of Airspeed during the project implementation phase, develops an awareness of the issues which are pertinent to operational implementation and develops appropriate solutions.
  • Identify and discuss the feasibility of pursuing new business opportunities with specific potential clients with Business Development management and acts as agreed.
  • Recommend purchase of new or improved technology, such as automated systems.

Qualifications

  • Preferably residence of Parañaque or nearby areas
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Transportation, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Industrial or Mechanical Engineering or similar
  • Proven work experience of at least 5 years in Logistics/Supply Chain industry and Managerial Level
